Air shows...

As I attend the various air shows available to my limited travels, I am continually in awe of the dedication exhibited by the people involved in the preservation and maintenance of older warbirds...A simple repair on a medium bomber from the WWII era can cost as much as the entire plane cost to build 80 years ago, and that's if parts can be located...

Paid attendance at air shows, warbird tours and other events around the world help support organizations such as the Commemorative Air Force, Experimental Aircraft Association and the Collings Foundation...These funds together with contributed time and money are what keeps these flying museums of history safely in the air...

For those who enjoy air shows and old warbirds as much as I do I've started a new picture blog here, which will also include car shows I attend...Comments, whether high praise or criticism, are always encouraged...

Truckman's wisdom is not only available in this blog, but those wanting alternative news interpretation can find it at Lefty In The News...His rapier-like wit and subtle brand of humor are available through his videos on his YouTube channel...His many friends look for his penetrating insight on current events in the Cracker Barrel Philosophers forums...
